Summary: This document will walk you through troubleshooting some common issues encountered when operating the computer in Ehmann’s Classroom
Turning It on / off
- Plug in the power strip that’s on the back of the TV cart
- Confirm that the power strip switch is on (Fig 1)
- Turn on the TV by holding down the power switch located in the lower left hand corner of the TV (Fig 2)
- Turn on the PC and wait for it to finish starting up
- When done using the TV, reverse this process
No Picture on Screen
- Confirm that the TV, power strip, and computer are turned on
- If it seems like the TV is set to the wrong input, you can change the input by tapping the button located in the lower left hand corner of the TV (Fig . Note that holding down this button will turn the TV off
No Internet / Network Access
- Confirm the USB antenna on the front of the computer is plugged in and the red light is illuminated. If not, unplug it and plug it back in (Fig 3)
- Double-click REALTEK USB Wireless LAN Utility on the desktop
- Confirm that Status shows Associated. If not, click ReNew IP
Mouse Unresponsive
- Confirm the device is on. The mouse (Fig 4) has a light on the bottom. If the switch is on, but there is no light, replace the batteries
Clicker Remote Unresponsive
- Confirm the device is on. The clicker remote has a power switch on the side (Fig 5)
Keyboard Unresponsive
- Confirm the device is on. The keyboard has a small on/off switch located near the top right (Fig 6). If it’s on and unresponsive, plug it in to the computer using the nearby USB cable
